i think i understand why the jews in america became democrats originally. whether poor or not, jews in america were subject to anti semitism and the democrats were better than the republicans re the disadvantaged.
why jews are still democrats is completly beyond me. now they are faced with a President who doesnt give a shit about israel and is willing to jam israel into a peace process that could could get and be ugly. he forgets that israel is the only democracy in the middle east and they are the only ones with the means and motivation to deal with the real enemy, a nuclear Iran.
this is an opportunity for republicans to reach out to american jews with a strong pro israel postion.
marx said something like capitalism will manufacture and sell the rope that will hang them. well the jews are doing the same by continuing to support Obama

Over the years I have watched several of my Jewish friends turn conservative. It is not enough to be a Republican at this point. I would suggest that all Jewish people read Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny NY Times best seller. Obviously Jewish, Levin gives the most cogent lucid arguments regarding ideology, the constitution, how all these social programs are actually anti-democratic, and perhaps the most sane argument for conservativism there is out there.
As Americans we need to all listen and learn what our founding fathers thought. We MUST get back to this if we want our country to remain strong and great.
To Jews, being a conservative is as scary as Hollywood going conservative. A real case of blinders on the eyes here.
frankly, never have understood why jews vote democrat. elements in the dem party hate the jews...at least some that i know do.
Hopefully the jews will see the handwriting on the wall who knows though. they have been clueless up to this point as far as i am concerned, or they deliberately choose to ignore what is going on around them.
maybe the fact that obama admin is threatening to shoot down israeli jets if they go to strike iran will wake them up. it has been my experience that the israeli situation always grabs their attention. but is it enough to change their vote?
new cnn poll i saw today shows that the majority of jews are really upset with obama and his actions towards israel. good.
